A 61 yr old lady had developed burning urination while she was travelling but gradually her burning sensation while passing urine increased. Not only that her frequency of urine increased too alongwith mild pain at her lower abdomen. After 2-3 days she started getting fever with chills with temperature ranging from 101 to 102 Fahrenheit for which she showed to her local doctor there in Kolkata and urine test was done which showed very high pus cells which clearly indicates URINE INFECTION which in medical term is referred as UTI (urinary tract infection).
A 54yr old female presented with complaints of fever with chills on and off since 2 months associated with loss of weight and loss of appetite. When she used to take antibiotics she used to get better but again after few days symptoms used to reappear. She went to general physician near her area and he advised her to get ultrasound of abdomen done also called as sonography. She got the shock of her life when she got the ultrasound report.
A 59 yr old gentleman had urinary problems in form of increased urinary frequency during day time with feeling of some amount of urine still remaining into the urinary bladder even after completion of urination (which in medical term is called as ‘incomplete emptying of bladder’). So he went to one urologist with his complaint and was advised urine routine test and ultrasound of his abdomen (sonography or ultra-sonography). His urine routine showed slightly increased pus cells (6-7 pus cells/hpf) into urine.
